Help With Your Collision Repair and Insurance Claim

Dealing with vehicle damage after an accident can be stressful, and the insurance process can add another layer of questions. Covert Collision Center helps Austin drivers understand the repair process and works with insurance carriers on repair-related documentation throughout the claim.

Our role is to focus on your vehicle and the repairs it needs. We can provide damage information, prepare a repair estimate, communicate about repair requirements, and address additional damage that may be discovered once repairs are underway.

If you already have an insurance estimate or claim number, bring that information with you when you schedule an appointment. Our team can help determine the next step.

How Covert Helps During the Insurance Repair Process

Damage Assessment and Repair Estimates

We inspect collision damage and develop a repair plan based on the condition of the vehicle. If you already have an estimate from the insurance company, our team can review it alongside the vehicle and the repairs that may be required.

Repair Documentation

Collision repairs can involve photos, estimates, repair procedures, parts information, and other documentation. Covert can provide repair-related information needed as the claim progresses.

Communication During the Repair

Our team communicates with insurance carriers when needed regarding the repair plan, documented vehicle damage, and changes that may arise during the repair process.

Supplements for Additional Damage

Not all collision damage can be identified from an initial exterior inspection. Once damaged panels or components are removed, additional damage may become visible. When that happens, updated documentation and a supplemental estimate may be needed before the additional repairs can proceed.

You Can Choose Your Collision Repair Shop in Texas

Your insurance company may recommend repair facilities or provide a list of shops, but Texas drivers have the right to choose where their vehicle is repaired.

That means you can choose Covert Collision Center even if another repair facility appears on an insurance company’s recommended list. Insurance coverage, deductibles, approved repair costs, and other claim decisions still depend on your policy and the circumstances of the claim.

Why Can a Collision Repair Estimate Change?

An initial estimate is based on the damage that can be identified at that point in the process. In some accidents, additional damage is hidden behind bumpers, exterior panels, trim, or other components.

After disassembly, technicians may identify damage that was not visible during the original inspection. The repair plan can then be updated and additional information may be submitted to the insurance carrier as a supplement.

A supplement does not necessarily mean that the original estimate was incorrect. It can simply reflect additional collision damage that could not be fully evaluated until the vehicle was disassembled.
